Our bar grating products are made according to Chinese YB4001-1991, YB / T4001-1998 standard production, with British BS4592-1-1995 and American ANSI / NAAMM (MBG531-88) standards and other international standards.
Bar Grating Specification List
I. Bearing Bar (Load Bar) can be two types: plain flat type and serrated type. So, please mention the bar type with your inquiry. Common bar size range(mm): 20 x 3 to 100 x 9.
II. Bearing Bar Pitch / Spacing (center to center): 12.5 to 100 mm normally. 30, 40, 60mm are recommended. American standard size is available
III. Cross Bar Pitch/Spacing (center to center): from18.5 to 101.6mm or custom size. 50, 100mm are recommended. American standard size is available.
IV. Spacing Types: We offer two spacing types: square or each pitch size, or rectangular spacing.
V. Steel Material: Q235 Steel or stainless steel grating.
VI. Surface Treatment: Three types available. Please advise if you need the finishing types of the Mild Steel grating: Untreated/ mill black, coated or Hot Dipped Galvanized. Also please note we offer two types of hot dipped zinc plating according to different standards: China standard: YB/T 13912-2002 or American Standard: ASTM A123.
VII. Please mention the application for the order grating products, whether it is used for platform structures, industrial flooring decks or stair treads, drainage covers or other uses. We supply steel gratings with a variety of loading capacities (light type or heavy loading) and can help choosing the right grating materials and design styles that may determine the loading of the finished grating panels ( whether the grating is open bar or dense mesh type ) accordingly.
Technical Terms of Bar Graings:
Load Bearing Bar: A load-bearing member spanning between supports
End Plate: A plate fixed to a stair or ladder tread for attaching to the stringer
A member fixed at right angles to the load bearing bars to provide lateral restraint.
A member fixed to concrete or supporting steelwork at the perimeter of a flooring aree.
The distance centre-to-centre of load-bearing bars or centres between points of lateral support to load-bearing bars.
A flat bar around the edge of a flooring panel and projecting above the top of the load-bearing bars.
Length: (Direction of Span).
The overall dimension of a flooring panel parralel with the load-bearing bars.
The actual area of flooring excluding cut-out areas
The total area of flooring including the cut out area
The overall dimension of a flooring panel measured at right angles to the load-bearing bars.
An area of flooring removed to permit pipes, columns, etc to pass through or to clear obstructions.
Curved Shaping:The part of a cut-out which is curved
Straight Shaping:The part of a cut-out which is straight.
A bar or section fixed to the edges of flooring panel flush with the top of the load-bearing bar.
Front Edging Bar:A member attached to the front of a stair tread or to a flooring panel.
Deep Bending Bar:
A bar or section fixed to the edges of a flooring panel and projecting below the underside.
Pressure Locked Steel Bar Grating
Pressure Locked Metal Bar Grating is a system constructed of interlocking slotted bars bonded together using tremendous hydraulic pressue. The bars are positioned every 2 inch or 4 inch. Also known as press-locked bar grates. Permanent locking is achieved by forcing the deep cross bar into the bearing bar. Both the cross bars and the bearing bars provide walking surfaces in the press-locked design.
Pressure locked bar grate panels provide a smooth clean look ideal for architectural applications such as grilles, dividers and screens. It is used in the same structural applications as its welded steel and rectangular aluminum counterparts. Popular metal materials for press locked gratings are Aluminum alloy, Galvanized Steel and Stainless Steel. Stainless Steel and Aluminum Pressure Locked Gratings are mostly used architectural ceiling panels and decoration. Spacings range from 7/16" to 1-3/16".
